We remind that Elbrus 2016, the XXXI International Conference on Equations of State for Matter, is fast approaching the deadline for the abstract submission (31st of December).

The conference will be held from the 1st of March to Sunday the 6th of March 2016 at Educational-Scientific Base of the Kabardino-Balkarian State University (KBSU) in the dormant volcano Elbrus settlement, in the  Kabardino-Balkar Republic of the Russian Federation.

As the previous conferences, the current one is devoted to one prominent Russian scientist, in this case the 70th anniversary of birth of Alexey Vladimirovich Bushman (16th October 1946 - 6th December 1993).

Our Russian Colleagues are organizing their 18th International Conference on the Methods of Aerophysical Research.

This conference is held every two years, and the 18th conference is scheduled for 2016. on June 27 to July 3, at the Perm National Research Polytechnic University.

The website of the previous conference is available here for your reference, and its proceedings here.

The conference's main topics are:

  • Methods of flow diagnostics
  • CFD methods and codes: problems of modeling and verification
  • Methods of aerophysical research in interdisciplinary problems and aerospace technologies

Our colleagues at the Center of Smart Interfaces (CSI), at the TU Darmstadt in Germany are organizing a short course of atomization and sprays from the 15th to the 18th February  2016.

This course is directed towards practicing engineers and researchers involved in R&D and the application of spray systems. For those with little previous background, the course begins with fundamentals of atomization and proceeds through theoretical, experimental, numerical and application topics.

The course website at www.csi.tu-darmstadt.de/kasi provides all useful info including the registration procedure, below the course announcement.
